I’m not a DP; I direct and edit - mostly my own work, sometimes others.
But ask me to shoot something fun and I’ll be there with a camera.
My old friend in Stephen Carr called me from LA and told me he was directing a music video for an Ozzy/Elton duet. He’d worked with Ozzy before and I thought it sounded like a fun project. Then he told me they needed some filming the UK, and my only question was where do I need to turn up?
We shot over two days in Birmingham in March 2020, visiting Ozzy’s childhood stomping grounds in some not very good neighbourhoods. Ozzy was definitely from the wrong side of the tracks.
